The Informed Northern Youth Forum (INYF) has concluded plans to honour the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, with the Hausa traditional title of “Jarumin Matasan Kasar Hausa” in recognition of what it described as his commitment to good governance, youth empowerment, and national unity.
The event will also feature the conferment of the title “Magayakin Jarumin Kasar Hausa” on the governor’s son, Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, in acknowledgement of his contributions to youth development, humanitarian activities, and initiatives promoting national integration.
According to the Forum, the ceremony will also serve as the official unveiling of the Tinubu/Sheriff Bloggers, Mobilization, Empowerment and ICT Hub, an initiative designed to equip Nigerian youths with digital and ICT skills while promoting responsible media engagement, entrepreneurship, political participation, and economic empowerment.
The event is expected to attract traditional rulers, political leaders, government officials, youth organisations, civil society groups, and other dignitaries from across the country.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the leadership of the Informed Northern Youth Forum said the recognition of Governor Oborevwori and his son reflects the organisation’s commitment to celebrating individuals who have demonstrated leadership, supported youth development, promoted peace, and contributed to national progress.
The Forum added that the ICT Hub forms part of its long-term strategy to develop a new generation of digitally skilled young Nigerians capable of driving innovation, strengthening civic engagement, and contributing to national development, while advancing the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Describing the programme as a landmark event, the Forum said it would not only celebrate outstanding leadership but also strengthen national cohesion through technology-driven youth empowerment and capacity building.
The Informed Northern Youth Forum therefore called on traditional institutions, government officials, political stakeholders, youth groups, development partners, members of the media, and the general public to attend the event and witness what it described as a significant occasion of recognition, unity, and youth-focused development.
