EFCC Arrests Former Power Minister Saleh Mamman in Kaduna

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, following reports that he had been in hiding despite being sentenced to 75 years imprisonment.

Mamman was reportedly apprehended in the Rigasa area of Kaduna State at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, disclosed the development while addressing journalists during an ongoing press briefing at the commission’s headquarters.

According to Olukoyede, the former minister was tracked and arrested after efforts by operatives of the anti-graft agency.

The EFCC is expected to release further details regarding the circumstances surrounding his arrest and the next legal steps to be taken against him.
