A London court has acquitted former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, of all bribery charges brought against her.
The Southwark Crown Court in the United Kingdom cleared Alison-Madueke of the six-count charge on Wednesday after a jury returned unanimous not-guilty verdicts following more than 46 hours of deliberations.
The former minister, who served under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan between 2010 and 2015, had faced allegations of accepting bribes and conspiring to receive unlawful benefits while in office.
