President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, on his 45th birthday.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Bichi, who represents Bichi Federal Constituency of Kano State, as a vibrant, resourceful and dedicated lawmaker.
The President commended Bichi for his role in the consideration, scrutiny and passage of Nigeria’s annual budget, describing the Appropriation Committee as one of the most strategic committees in the House.
According to Tinubu, Bichi has demonstrated “uncommon capacity, grit, and leadership” in carrying out his responsibilities, which he said are central to the implementation of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He also praised the lawmaker for what he described as effective representation of his constituents and interventions in education, infrastructure and youth empowerment.
“Bichi has distinguished himself since his first election to the House in 2019, where he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Works in the 9th Assembly and now as Chairman of Appropriation in the 10th Assembly,” Tinubu said.
The President urged Bichi to rededicate himself to serving his constituents and the country as he marks his 45th birthday.
He also prayed for God to grant the lawmaker continued good health, wisdom and strength.
