Tragedy struck the Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday as two serving lawmakers died within minutes of each other.
The second death involved Sarki Aliyu Daneji, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Kano Municipal Local Government Area. His passing was announced shortly after news broke of the death of Hon. Aminu Sa’adu, the lawmaker representing Ungoggo Local Government Area.
The development sent shockwaves across the state’s political landscape, with colleagues, government officials, and residents expressing deep shock and grief over the sudden losses.
The deaths were confirmed by Spokesperson of Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who disclosed the information in a post on his official Facebook page.
