President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Professor Amupitan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a week after the Senate confirmed his appointment following a rigorous screening on October 16.
During the swearing-in ceremony, President Tinubu urged Prof. Amupitan to uphold the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process and work to strengthen the institutional capacity of the commission.
