Senator Aminu Iya Abbas (Adamawa Central), a frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, has officially submitted his nomination form, marking a significant milestone in his bid to contest the 2027 governorship election.

Speaking shortly after the submission in Abuja, Senator Abbas called on the leadership of the APC to ensure a free, fair, and transparent primary process. He emphasized that credibility and internal democracy remain critical to the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.
The Senator, who currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful leadership anchored on continuity, consolidation, and integrated development. He stated that his vision for the state is encapsulated in the Adamawa Integrated Agenda (AIA)—a comprehensive development framework designed to transform all sectors of the state.

According to him, the AIA seeks to build on the developmental strides recorded under the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while introducing innovative policies to accelerate economic growth, strengthen institutions, and improve the quality of life for citizens.
Senator Abbas further urged APC stakeholders and supporters to remain united and focused as the party approaches its primaries, stressing that collective commitment is essential to securing victory.
