BREAKING: Court Orders PDP, Damagum to Hold National Convention November 15

An Oyo State High Court has directed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, to proceed with the party’s national convention scheduled for November 15 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Justice A.L. Akintola issued the order on Monday while ruling on an ex parte application filed by Folahan Malomo Adelabi.

The court’s decision comes amid internal tensions within the PDP over the leadership structure and preparations for the forthcoming convention, which is expected to address key party positions and strategic plans ahead of the 2027 general elections.
