Kano Government to Announce Position on Eid Durbar Today

The Kano State Government has said it will soon announce its official position regarding the Eid durbar (Sallah procession) in the state.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson to the state governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in a statement shared on his Facebook page.

He noted that the government’s stance would be communicated shortly by the Commissioner for Information, urging residents to remain calm and await the announcement.

The development comes amid an ongoing dispute over who will lead the Eid durbar between Muhammad Sanusi II and Aminu Ado Bayero.
