JUST IN: Again, Court Stops PDP from Holding 2025 National Convention

A Federal High Court in Abuja has stopped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from conducting its 2025 national convention scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15 to 16.

In the ruling delivered on Tuesday, Justice Peter Lifu also restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from supervising, monitoring, or recognising any outcome of the planned convention if it goes ahead.

The order followed an application filed by former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, who challenged the conduct of the convention.
