The National Youth Service Corps has announced September 7 to 13, 2026, as the registration period for prospective corps members of the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise.
The NYSC disclosed this in a notice issued on Friday, warning prospective corps members that obtaining clearance from the National Education Records Database is compulsory before they can complete their registration.
According to the scheme, all Prospective Corps Members are required to obtain their NERD Clearance Certificate before commencing the NYSC registration process.
The NYSC advised prospective corps members to secure the clearance early to avoid delays during the mobilisation exercise.
It further warned that candidates without the required NERD clearance would not be allowed to register for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the notice stated.
It added, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
The registration portal will open on Monday, September 7, and close on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The scheme urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation to obtain their NERD clearance ahead of the registration deadline.
