A United Kingdom court has sentenced a Nigerian-born man, Obinwa Obichukwu, 45, to two years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at Euston train station in London.
The incident occurred in August 2023 when Obichukwu reportedly approached the woman, attempted to persuade her to accompany him to his home, and sexually assaulted her twice before she managed to escape.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said he was arrested following an investigation and later convicted on two counts of sexual assault. He was sentenced on July 21, 2026.
In addition to the two-year prison term, the court imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) on Obichukwu and ordered that his name remain on the UK’s sex offenders register for the same period.
