Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria on the occasion of the Maulud celebration commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The governor made the call in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Director General, Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Yusuf urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the life, teachings and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad, particularly his virtues of peace, justice, compassion, honesty, patience and tolerance.
He called on the faithful to demonstrate these values in their daily lives while promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and mutual respect among people of diverse backgrounds.
The governor also urged parents, religious leaders and community elders to intensify efforts to educate younger generations on the teachings and exemplary conduct of the Prophet.
Yusuf prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria, urging citizens to support efforts aimed at improving their wellbeing.
The governor further prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to successfully complete their first term and secure a peaceful re-election in 2027.
He wished Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration and called on them to pray for peace, progress and unity across the country.
