The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, has held a review meeting with officials who supervised this year’s Hajj operations to assess achievements recorded and challenges encountered during the exercise.
The meeting brought together members of the Ministerial Team, led by her Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Isa Kauranmata, as well as representatives of various committees involved in the pilgrimage operation.
Speaking during the session, the minister praised the team for the successful conduct of the 2026 Hajj exercise, noting that pilgrims from the FCT recorded remarkable achievements in several areas. She specifically commended the quality of accommodation and feeding services provided to pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.
The review meeting included members of the Health, Security and Media Committees. The Media Committee was coordinated by Mubarak Auwal Unguwa Uku.
Dr. Bunkure also offered prayers for Allah to accept the Hajj performed by the pilgrims and expressed optimism that the ongoing return airlift of all pilgrims back to Nigeria would be completed safely and successfully.
