The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore, has expressed condolences to the Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Hon. Lawan Najume, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Maimuna Lawan Najume.
The Speaker also mourned the death of Hon. Sani Muhammad Hotoro, a prominent politician and community leader, who died in a motor accident.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore described the death of Hajiya Maimuna as a painful and monumental loss to the Najume family and the people of Kabo Local Government Area.
He described the deceased as a loving mother, devout Muslim and woman of exemplary character and discipline, noting that she was deeply concerned about the welfare of those around her.
Falgore prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Hon. Najume, the bereaved family and other mourners the strength to bear the loss, and to grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
The Speaker also described the death of Sani Muhammad Hotoro as tragic, saying the deceased was a prominent politician, dedicated community leader and mentor to younger people.
He extended his condolences to the family, associates and supporters of Hotoro, as well as the people of Kano State.
Falgore prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
He said the condolences were offered on behalf of the entire members of the Kano State House of Assembly, while praying for strength for both families to bear the losses.
