Operatives of the Nigerian police have arrested the convener of the #RevolutionNow# movement, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore was arrested over his continued agitation regarding the detention of the leader of proscribed IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
THR News reports that on Monday security cracked down on #ReleaseNnamdiKanuNow protesters in Abuja.

They dispersed the protesters with live bullets.
However, Sowore was reportedly arrested on Thursday in Abuja by some gun-wielding officers was driven to a yet-to-be-revealed location.
Human rights lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju confirmed the development to our Correspondent.
“Yes, Sowore had just been arrested by the Nigerian police.”
The reason he was arrested was yet to be officially revealed but operatives were heard saying he was being taken away for continued public disturbance.
