A woman who recently gave birth to quintuplets in Kano State, Hafsat Yusuf, has died following complications from excessive bleeding.
The spokesperson of the Kano State Ministry of Health, Nabulisi Abubakar Kofar Na’isa, confirmed her death. He stated that medical personnel did everything within their capacity to save her life, but she eventually passed away.
Family sources disclosed that she has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Government has pledged to take responsibility for the care and welfare of the newborn babies.
