Gov. Yusuf Appoints Emir of Gaya as Amirul Hajj for 2026 Hajj Exercise in Kano

…As Emir of Karaye Named Deputy Amirul Hajj

The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of the Emir of Gaya, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, as the Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.

In the same vein, the Emir of Karaye, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz, has been appointed as the Deputy Amirul Hajj.

The statement added that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board is expected to provide maximum support to the Amirul Hajj and his deputy to ensure smooth and successful operations.

The government also wished the Amirul Hajj, his deputy, the management and staff of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board a successful Hajj exercise, praying that all pilgrims perform accepted Hajj and return home safely.
