The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Isma’il Falgore, has condoled with the family, relatives and associates of Sani Lawan Kofar Mata, who died after a protracted illness.
Falgore expressed his condolences in a statement issued on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.
The Speaker described the deceased as a dedicated and compassionate individual who was concerned about the welfare of people around him.
He said Kofar Mata was a patriotic indigene of Kano who was passionate about the development of the state, adding that his death was a loss not only to his immediate family but also to the people of Kano State.
“The death of Sani Lawan Kofar Mata will remain indelible in the hearts of the people of Kano State. He served the public diligently and was known for his humility and kindness,” Falgore said.
Falgore, on behalf of members of the Kano State House of Assembly, extended his condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and associates of the deceased.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive Kofar Mata’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
“This is indeed a great loss to us. We pray for Allah’s mercy upon the soul of the deceased,” the Speaker added.
