Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State for the 2027 election.
Pantami won the party’s fresh governorship primary election held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, securing 2,054 votes.
Khamisu Mailantarki came second with 389 votes, while Usman Garry finished third with 112 votes.
A total of 2,555 PDP members participated in the governorship primary election across Gombe State.
Pantami’s victory makes him the PDP’s candidate for the Gombe State governorship election scheduled for 2027.
