Lagos, Kano and Kaduna states have the highest numbers of registered voters ahead of the 2027 general elections, according to figures released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday, saying the national voter register now stands at 110 million registered voters.
According to him, Lagos leads with 7,488,633 voters, followed by Kano with 6,570,276 and Kaduna with 4,662,640.
Katsina ranks fourth with 3,876,051 voters, followed by Rivers with 3,736,434 and Oyo with 3,588,111.
Delta has 3,525,988 registered voters, while Benue, Ogun and Bauchi have 3,057,225, 3,037,981 and 3,012,547 respectively.
Amupitan said the figures cover the three phases of INEC’s voter registration exercise.
