AFCON 2025: BUA Chairman Pledges $1.5m, Goal Bonuses to Super Eagles

Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced a cash reward of up to $1.5m and additional goal bonuses to the Super Eagles following their 2-0 victory against Algeria at the ongoing AFCON 2025.

Daily Trust had reported how Eagles’s Victor Osimhen scored one goal and provided an assist as Nigeria defeated Algeria to secure a place in the semi-finals.

In a statement shared across his social media platforms, Rabiu praised the players for lifting the spirit of the nation with their performance and assured them of his support as they push for the title.

“You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.

“To encourage you, I pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored.”

The BUA chairman further announced that should the Super Eagles progress to win the final, he would reward the team with one million dollars, in addition to 100,000 dollars for each goal scored in the final match.

“Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.”

He wished the national team success ahead of the Semi-Final.
