Gandits reportedly invaded Yankamaye village in the Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State and killing an elderly woman and abducting three residents.
The attack occurred around 11pm on Saturday and it threw the villagers into panic.
Residents told source that the attackers rode to the village on motorcycles before proceeding on foot to avoid drawing attention.
They said that the bandits shot an elderly woman dead after she pleaded with them not to take away her son.

“They killed her because she begged them not to go with her son. They shot her and still abducted him,” a villager who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
The attackers raided another house, where they whisked away two women.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Kano State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the spokesperson had yet to respond to inquiries as of the time of filing this report.
