Aliyu Abubakar Getso, a veteran journalist and broadcaster, has passed away.
According family sources Getso died on Sunday morning in Kano after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by three wives, several children and grandchildren.
The funeral prayer (Janazah) is scheduled to hold at 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday) at his residence located around Second Gate, Janbulo, Kabuga area of Kano City.

A well-known voice on radio, the late Getso worked with several media organisations, including Kano State Radio Corporation (Radio Kano), Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM.
