Tinubu Congratulates Soludo on Re-election, Hails His Visionary Leadership

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State, describing the victory as a reflection of his visionary leadership and the progress made under his administration.

In a statement released by the State House on Sunday, President Tinubu said Soludo’s overwhelming victory in Saturday’s governorship poll makes him the third governor in Anambra’s political history to win a second term.

“I congratulate Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as the governor of Anambra State. The overwhelming victory he recorded in Saturday’s poll has now made him the third governor in the state’s political history to win a second term,” the President said.

He commended the people of Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and credible election.

According to President Tinubu, Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his effective governance and intellectual approach to leadership. “Governor Soludo, the Solution, has demonstrated that knowledge is power and that academic principles can be applied in serving the people through accountability, transparency, and prudent management of resources,” he noted.

The President recalled his visit to Anambra State in May 2025, where he inaugurated projects executed by the Soludo administration, describing them as products of “good thinking and purposeful leadership.”

Tinubu praised Soludo for bringing “discipline, grace, brilliance, and a fresh perspective to governance,” adding that Anambra under his leadership has lived up to its motto as the Light of the Nation.

He urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory and work with his political opponents for the greater good of the state.

President Tinubu also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continued collaboration between the Federal Government and the Anambra State Government.

The President further commended INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and his team for conducting what observers have described as a credible and transparent election.

He encouraged the commission to maintain its standards and continue improving Nigeria’s electoral process.

“Victory for any progressive and hardworking leader can hardly be denied,” Tinubu concluded.
