Over 6.2m Nigerians Complete Online Voter Pre-Registration – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that more than 6.2 million Nigerians have completed their online pre-registration for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

Data released by the commission on Monday revealed that a total of 6,232,673 pre-registrants were recorded between September 22 and 28, 2025.

According to the figures published on INEC’s official X handle and website, 3,250,338 of the registrants were female (52.15%), while 2,982,335 were male (47.85%). Youths between the ages of 18 and 34 continued to dominate the process, accounting for 4,230,715 registrations during the period.

Students also represented a large portion of the registrants, with 1,565,824 entries, while 137,865 persons with disabilities (PWDs) completed their pre-registration.

INEC further disclosed that during week five of the exercise, covering September 22 to 26, 2025, 1,004,132 Nigerians successfully completed both online and physical registration.

This figure included 537,743 who finalized their registration online and 466,389 who completed the process physically.

Demographic data for week five showed that 555,077 were female (55.28%) and 449,055 were male (44.72%). Youths accounted for 742,379 of the total, while students numbered 354,406. The number of registered PWDs during the week stood at 13,987.
