Kano Speaker Hails Gov Yusuf’s Development Projects, Says ₦500m Constituency Funds Reflect Good Governance

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has praised Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he described as unprecedented development projects across Kano State, saying the administration’s decision to allocate ₦500 million for constituency projects demonstrates its commitment to good governance and inclusive development.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore commended the governor’s courage, resilience and accountability in executing projects aimed at improving the lives of residents.

The Speaker described Governor Yusuf’s leadership style as humble, transparent and people-oriented, adding that it reflects a strong commitment to accountability and effective service delivery.

Falgore highlighted the administration’s achievements in key sectors, including healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, water supply and agriculture. According to him, the projects are already making a positive impact on communities across the state.

He also welcomed the approval of ₦500 million constituency projects for members of the Kano State House of Assembly, describing the initiative as a bold step toward strengthening grassroots development and ensuring inclusive governance.

The Speaker further commended the governor for approving and constructing an ultramodern Kano State House of Assembly complex, saying the facility would enhance legislative activities and improve public service delivery.

Expressing confidence in Governor Yusuf’s leadership, Falgore said the administration’s performance has positioned the governor for a possible second term, noting that many residents appreciate his record of delivering development projects.

He also praised the Managing Director of Radio Kano, Abubakar Adamu, and the station’s management for their dedication to public service.

Falgore reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting policies and programmes that promote good governance, accountability and sustainable development in Kano State.
