Kano Media Advocacy Network (K-MAN) expressed its deepest sympathy to Mrs. Maijidda Alasan, her family, and indeed the good people of Ɗan’agundi and Kano State over the unfortunate incident that occurred on Friday, October 22, 2025, at Kofar Dan’agundi area of Kano Municipal Local Government, where a bullet allegedly fired by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) struck and injured her inside her own residence.
A statement by Munir Ibrahim Publisher Publicity Secretary, of the network, said that the advocacy is disturbed by the development.
Munir Ibrahim Publisher said, “K-MAN joins other concerned citizens in condemning this tragic occurrence, which has left an innocent woman battling for her life without adequate support or accountability. We wish her a speedy recovery and call on all relevant authorities to provide her with the necessary medical and financial assistance.
“Furthermore, K-MAN appeals passionately to the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to urgently investigate the incident and ensure that justice is served. The government should also intensify efforts to rid Ɗan’agundi of drug dealers and users who have for years operated with alarming boldness, posing a grave threat to public safety, peace, and morality.
“We firmly believe that tackling the menace of drug abuse and trafficking requires both decisive enforcement and community-based rehabilitation programs. K-MAN stands ready to collaborate with government agencies and civil society organizations in advancing this noble cause for a safer and healthier Kano State.”
