The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, Hon. M. Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji, extended his deepest sorrow over the passing of a renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
In a statement Thursday, Ja’oji described Bauchi’s death as a monumental loss to Nigeria and the Muslim Ummah.
He said that the late cleric’s decades of scholarship, spiritual guidance and unwavering commitment to peace shaped generations of his followers across the country.
Ja’oji said, “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the Tijjaniyya community and all Nigeria who held the revered sheikh in high esteem.

“Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was a respected Islamic scholar, a moral compass and a champion of peaceful coexistence.
“I pray to Allah the Almighty to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdausi and give family, students and admirers the strength to bear this loss. Amin”
