A middle-aged housewife, simply identified as Iya Bolu, reportedly slumped and died while brushing her teeth in Abaji, the headquarters of the Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
Neighbours said the incident happened on Friday around 7 am when the deceased woke up and picked up her toothbrush.
A relative of the deceased, Mr. Femi Ajakaiye, said the woman had finished praying in the morning in her room and decided to brush in preparation for the market when she suddenly slumped.
He said the deceased, who was a petty trader, was believed to be hale and hearty before the incident.

The woman was immediately rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead by doctors.
He explained that the woman’s husband, a panel beater, had already gone to work when the incident occurred.
He said, “Upon being informed, the husband quickly rushed to the hospital only to discover his wife had already been confirmed dead.”
He said the woman’s remains had been deposited at the hospital morgue, from where it would be taken to Ondo State for burial.
“Unfortunately, the woman was preparing to travel to Ondo State for the burial of her mother at the end of this month when this happened,” he said.
Our correspondent reports that members of the Yoruba community and other well-wishers have been trooping to the deceased’s house to condole with the husband.
