Hon Hafizu Kawu has sympathized with Singer Market traders over the fire outbreak with gutted a section of the market.
In as statement on Sunday, said Kawu described the incident as unfortunate and devastating.
He called on relevant government agencies, emergency and individuals to provide relief to the victims of the fire accident.
The statement reads, “I received with deep sorrow the news of the devastating fire outbreak at Singer Market in Kano, which destroyed several shops and goods worth millions of naira.

“This unfortunate incident has caused immense hardship to our hardworking traders who depend on the market for their daily livelihood. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected during this difficult time.
“Singer Market remains one of the key commercial centres serving millions of families, and the economic impact of this disaster cannot be overstated. The loss suffered by the traders is not just personal but a setback to our collective economic growth.
“I call on relevant government agencies, emergency response authorities, and well-meaning individuals to urgently step in with relief and support to cushion the impact on the victims.
“I also urge traders and market authorities to continue strengthening safety measures to prevent future occurrences of such tragic incidents.
“Please be assured of my solidarity and continued commitment to supporting the affected traders as we work together toward recovery and rebuilding.”
