Former PDP National Spokesperson Kola Ologbondiyan Resigns from Party

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has resigned his membership of the party.

Ologbondiyan announced his decision in a letter addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Okekoko Ward 9, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He did not disclose any specific reason for his departure.

“Let me start by thanking you and other levels of leadership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party as well as our fatherland, Nigeria,” the letter read.

He explained that after reviewing his involvement in the party, he concluded that it was time to step aside for personal reasons.

“I have therefore come to the decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP henceforth,” he stated.

The PDP has been battling internal crises in recent months, leading to the resignation of several members across different states.

Following his exit from the PDP, Ologbondiyan is expected to formally join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), an opposition coalition formed in June.
