The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Speaker urged citizens to embrace unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as Muslims celebrate the 2026 Eid al-Fitr.
Falgore called on the faithful to uphold the values of love, dignity, and peaceful coexistence, noting that the Ramadan period serves as a time for reflection, compassion, and support for the less privileged. He stressed that tolerance and mutual respect are essential for sustaining peace, stability, and national development.
Highlighting legislative progress, the Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the Assembly to enacting people-oriented laws aimed at improving the living standards of Kano residents. He also emphasized the need for collective responsibility among stakeholders to ensure peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
“I am convinced that the Kano State House of Assembly under my leadership is doing everything possible to deliver quality legislation, irrespective of tribe or religion, to promote sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity,” Falgore said.
He further reiterated the Assembly’s support for the state government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, commending the administration’s efforts in fostering an inclusive and conducive environment for all citizens.
On behalf of the Assembly, the Speaker wished Muslims a joyful Eid al-Fitr celebration and prayed for lasting peace, progress, and prosperity in Kano State.
