The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s ongoing fight against terrorism.
Dunhai made this known in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday following his meeting with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, in Abuja.
He said China “firmly supports” the Nigerian government in implementing development policies that align with the country’s national realities and priorities.
The envoy also stressed that China opposes any form of external interference in Nigeria’s internal affairs “under the pretext of religion and human rights,” noting that mutual respect and non-interference remain key pillars of China-Nigeria relations.
