The holy month of Ramadan will begin on Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday, after the crescent moon marking the start of the fasting period was sighted across the Kingdom.
The announcement officially signals the start of Ramadan 2026, during which millions of Muslims in Saudi Arabia and around the world will observe fasting from dawn to sunset, along with heightened spiritual reflection, prayer, and charitable activities.
Authorities in the Kingdom urged citizens and residents to prepare for the month-long observances, including adjustments to work hours, religious gatherings, and community events.
