The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Friday, held a closed-door meeting with former Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd), in Minna, Niger State.
Kwankwaso, who was accompanied by the NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Ahmed Ajuji, visited the elder statesman as part of what sources described as a strategic consultation on national issues.
The meeting, which took place at Babangida’s Hilltop residence, was confirmed in a Facebook post by Saifullahi Hassan, media aide to Senator Kwankwaso.
Although details of their discussions were not disclosed, political observers say the visit may not be unconnected to ongoing efforts by the NNPP to strengthen its political alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
