BREAKING: Enugu Governor Peter Mbah Defects to APC

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mbah made the announcement on Tuesday during a press conference in Enugu, saying his decision was driven by a desire to better serve the people of the state and align with the APC’s vision for development and progress.

According to him, joining the ruling party would provide greater opportunities for collaboration and growth that would advance Enugu’s interests.

“I remain committed to advancing the development of our state and ensuring that our people benefit from inclusive governance and sustainable progress. The APC’s platform offers broader avenues for realizing these goals,” Mbah said.

The governor also expressed appreciation to his former party, the PDP, for its support over the years, noting that the decision to switch parties was not taken lightly.

“To the Peoples Democratic Party, which provided us the platform on which we campaigned and won, I extend my deep gratitude. The PDP stood by us through a demanding campaign and joined us in celebrating our victory. However, this shift has become necessary to achieve the full aspirations of our administration,” he added.
