Barau FC appoints Dominic Iorfa GM, Kabiru Baita Vice President

Barau FC is proud to announce two major additions to its executive leadership team: former Nigerian international and seasoned football administrator Dominic Iorfa has been appointed General Manager, while respected football executive and former Kano Pillars Chairman Alhaji Kabiru Baita joins as Vice President.

The appointments were confirmed by the President of Barau FC, Shawall Barau Jibrin, as part of the club’s ongoing strategic restructuring in its debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

According to a statement issued by the club’s Media Director, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, the addition of Iorfa and Baita reflects the club’s clear commitment to building a high-performance football institution.

“Dominic Iorfa brings a wealth of expertise from decades in the Nigerian football scene. His track record in strategic leadership, talent development, and elite performance management makes him an ideal fit to steer our sporting ambitions,” said Shawall Barau Jibrin.

As General Manager, Iorfa will oversee the technical and operational development of the team, with a focus on strengthening Barau FC’s competitive edge both on and off the pitch.

In his new role as Vice President, Alhaji Kabiru Baita is expected to play a pivotal role in governance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. His extensive experience and credibility in Nigerian football will help solidify the club’s foundation for long-term success.

“Alhaji Baita is a respected figure whose integrity and leadership are widely recognized. His appointment is a significant step in our mission to become a model football club in Nigeria and beyond,” Jibrin added.

Barau FC, Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin’s football club, is on a mission to create a professional and sustainable football organization capable of competing at the highest levels of Nigerian football. These appointments mark a bold statement of intent.
