Bandits have reportedly abducted three villagers along the Katari-Gurara dam road in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident of Katari village, Awalu Dahiru, said the incident happened on Sunday, around 6:23 am, when the victims, who were on a motorcycle, were ambushed by the bandits.
He said the bandits, wielding sophisticated weapons, came from a nearby bush and flagged them down before whisking them into the bush at gunpoint.
According to him, the victims, who are residents of Sabon Kurutu, were on a motorcycle on their way to Katari when they came across the bandits.

A community leader from the area, who preferred anonymity, also confirmed the abduction of the three villagers to our reporter via the telephone on Sunday night.
The leader said he received information about the abduction from one of the victims’ relatives and that he had since communicated with some troops at Kurutu junction.
“Immediately I received the information about the abduction, I quickly called the troops stationed at Kurutu junction, but I am yet to ascertain if they have entered the forest to go after the bandits,” he said.
The community leader, who gave the names of the abducted victims as Mansur Katari, Onamashi Felix, and Danladi John, said contact was yet to be established with the abductors.
The spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, is yet to speak on the incident as at the time of filing the report.
