From Adamu Abdullahi
The FCT Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Hon. Ambassador Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has appointed Hon. Aisha Yakubu as the Director of Women, ahead of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) election rollout of the Grassroots Ward Development Programme.
The Special Adviser to the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors Coordinator on Media and Publicity, Jibreel Muhammad Babangoshi, disclosed this in a statement he signed on Monday titled “FCT Coordinator Meets Area Councils’ Coordinators and Directorates of Renewed Hope Ambassadors.”
Under her new role, Jibreel said Hon. Aisha will also serve as Director-General for Women Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation, effectively becoming the chief political mobiliser for the Tinubu administration’s agenda across the Federal Capital Territory.
With the appointment, which takes immediate effect, Hon. Aisha will be responsible—working in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress (APC) women leadership and grassroots enlightenment structures within the FCT—for promoting the administration’s programmes, the statement said.

As Director of Renewed Hope Women, Hon. Aisha, who also chairs the Progressive Gbagyi’ Forum in Kuje Area Council, is expected to ensure harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across all levels of the party. She will work closely with the FCT APC leadership, which will also serve as the Directorate of Hope.
She will lead mobilisation and engagement efforts aimed at boosting grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies across the FCT.
The FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors Coordinator further expects Hon. Aisha and her colleagues to promote and disseminate the party’s achievements, as well as mobilise support and solicit votes for the APC in the forthcoming Area Council elections at the grassroots.
In his message to the appointees, Candido tasked Hon. Aisha with ensuring that women in the FCT are fully aware of, and understand, the achievements of the Tinubu administration.
