Gunmen killed two farmers in Daron village in Gyel District, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing two people and injuring one.
According to residents, the gunmen stormed the community Tuesday night, shooting sporadically, which resulted in the deaths of two people and leaving one injured.
Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, President of the Berom Youths Moulder-Association (BYM), confirmed the attack.
He said that the attack was preceded by an early warning of planned attacks on villages in Gyel and neighbouring settlements.
The State’s Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, while fielding questions about the Tuesday night attack, confirmed the incident, adding that two people were killed.

CP Adesina said the attack was successfully repelled by officers of the command.
The commissioner further explained that, “there was an incident that happened last (Tuesday) night in that community. Our men have responded swiftly but unfortunately, we recorded two deaths.”
