Governor Nasir Idris has assured parents of the 25 students that were abducted by bandits in Kebbi State that his government would work with the security agents to bring the girls back home safely.
The governor who cut short his official engagement in Abuja to visit Maga in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of the state told parents of the students that the state will secure them from their abductors.
He said “We are in Maga to see things for ourselves following the unfortunate incident.”
“We have interacted with the parents of the girls we have given them our words and confidence that we will do everything humanly possible to ensure their children are secured,” he said.

He added that joint rescue operation by federal authorities and the state government would help bring the girls back home safely.
While sympathizing with the parents and the people of Zuru Emirate over the incident, he said he had met with stakeholders to seek their advice on how to prevent such incident from happening again in future.
