The Kano State Government has assured residents that the lingering emirate tussle in the state will be resolved amicably in the near future.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, gave the assurance while speaking to journalists in Kano on Thursday, saying the government has already begun taking concrete steps aimed at restoring lasting peace and stability.
According to him, the administration remains fully committed to dialogue and constructive engagement with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the issue does not continue to generate tension or disrupt governance in the state.
Waiya noted that the government’s approach to resolving the matter is anchored on respect for the rule of law, the sanctity of traditional institutions, and the overall interest of the people of Kano State.
He urged residents to remain calm and supportive, expressing confidence that the measures being put in place would soon yield positive results and strengthen harmony across the state.
