BREAKING: Kano Pillars Suspend Technical Adviser and Chief Coach Over Poor Performance

The management of Kano Pillars Football Club has announced the immediate suspension of its Technical Adviser, Ogenyi Evans, and Chief Coach, Ahmed Garba (Yaro Yaro), following the team’s unsatisfactory performance in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

In a statement issued by the club’s Media and Communications Directorate on Sunday, the management expressed disappointment over the team’s results so far, having played eight matches with only two wins, two draws, and four losses.

“The decision became necessary in view of the team’s recent poor run of form which falls short of the expectations of the club’s management and teeming supporters,” the statement read in part.

Meanwhile, former club captain and current Assistant Coach, Gambo Muhammad, has been appointed to take charge of the team’s technical affairs in the interim. He will be assisted by Goalkeeper Coach, Suleiman Shuaibu, while Coach Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from the Junior Pillars side will join the technical crew in an ad-hoc capacity pending further directives.

Kano Pillars, fondly known as Sai Masu Gida, are hoping the shake-up will reinvigorate the team as the NPFL season progresses.
