Five person were rescued from a devastating building collapse in the Alimosho area of Lagos State on Thursday
The two-storey building located at 4 Modupeola Street, Mangoro Bus Stop, Alimosho, crashed trapping several workers beneath the rubble.
After hours of digging Emergency responders and locals five survivors were pulled from the wreckage.
Sources said that the survivors were rushed to a nearby private hospital.

Controller General, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Emergency responders and locals, confirmed the incident.
She saif that the State Fire and Rescue Service received the distress call at 5.39am and that firefighters arrived at the scene at about 6.24am.
Adeseye gave the location of the ill-fated building as No. 5, Modupe Ola Street, Onipetesi Estate, Mangoro.
She said the structure was originally a bungalow before the new owner begun converting it into a two-storey building, which was still under construction, while occupants remained on the ground floor.
She added, “The incident involved a partial collapse at the rear of the building.
The situation is currently under control.
“Responding units included the Ikeja Fire Station and Agege Fire Station. Five construction workers who were all males adult rescued alive, sustaining varying degrees of injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. No fatalities were recorded.”
