Kaduna State Police Command has arrested three suspected child traffickers and rescued 17 children.
A statement signed by DSP Mansir Hassan, Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer and made available to newsmen, said the rescued children were of various ages, and were allegedly being prepared for trafficking to Abuja and other parts of the country.
“On 12th November, 2025, at about 1600hrs, following credible intelligence on the suspicious movement of children under the Danmagaji Flyover in Zaria, detectives from Danmagaji Division swiftly swung into action.
“Their prompt response led to the rescue of 17 children of various ages who were allegedly being prepared for trafficking to Abuja and other parts of the country and beyond,” he said.

The statement said the three members of the syndicate arrested in connection with the incident were Musa Shuaibu, 21, a native of Funtua in Katsina State; Sani Mamman, 23, from Ingawa, Katsina State and Mubarak Ismail, 20, from Unguwa Uku of Kano State.
According to the PRO, upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to having brought the children from different locations and were in the process of transporting them to Abuja and beyond before their arrest.
The statement added that all the underage children were in good health and are currently under the care and protection of the police Command, as efforts are being intensified to locate and reunite them with their parents and guardians.
