KASA seeks improved collaboration with Abubakar Rimi Market management

The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASA) has embarked on a stakeholder engagement drive with a familiarization visit to the management of Abubakar Rimi Market as part of efforts to enhance revenue generation and regulate outdoor advertisements in the state.

Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata, Director General of KASA, led the delegation to the market on Monday. He said the visit was aimed at strengthening the agency’s relationship with key revenue-generating institutions, especially in the areas of signage and billboards within major markets.

Dakata noted that the agency is working to sanitize and streamline revenue collection processes related to signage and outdoor advertising, stressing that stakeholders must understand the importance of proper regulation to boost state income.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of Abubakar Rimi Market, Alhaji Abdul Bashir Hassan, reaffirmed the market board’s commitment to improving marketing strategies across Kano. He urged revenue collectors to cooperate with KASA and perform their duties responsibly to enhance the state’s revenue performance.

The statement was signed by Munzali Muhd Hausawa, Director of Public Enlightenment of the agency.

Both KASA and the market management used the occasion to call on the public to continue supporting the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in its drive to execute development projects across the state.
