Kano State Government has directed recent political appointees to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The directive was given by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim Saturday at the ongoing Special Capacity Building for top government functionaries held in Kaduna.
Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim said that the move is aimed at ensuring that public officials are transparent about their financial dealings and assets.
Ibrahim said, “All the political appointees recently appointed by Kano State Government are directed to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau.”

He maintained that by assets declaration, political appointees demonstrate their commitment to upholding the principles of good governance and ensuring that their actions are guided by public interest.
He added that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is demonstrating his commitment to upholding the principles of good governance and ensuring that public officials are held to high standards of integrity.
