JUST IN: Presidency Dismisses Alleged Poisoning Attempt on Tinubu as Fake News

The Nigerian Presidency has dismissed claims circulating on social media that a staff member of the Aso Rock Villa kitchen was arrested over an alleged attempt to poison President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the report as false and urged the public to disregard it.

According to him, no kitchen staff at the Presidential Villa was arrested, nor was there any attempt to poison Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“No Aso Rock kitchen staff arrested. No Aso Rock kitchen staff attempted to poison President Tinubu. Please ignore this fake news being disseminated by this video,” the statement read.

The Presidency cautioned against the spread of unverified information and advised Nigerians to rely on credible sources for accurate updates.
