Boko Haram has reportedly killed soldiers and abducted women and children in Internally Displaced Persons camp in Ngoshe town, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The terrorists were said to have attacked a military base and Internally Displaced Persons camp in the town.
According to Daily Trust, Senator Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South) confirmed the attack to newsmen on thursday.
Although the number of soldiers killed and the civilians cannot be ascertained, reports indicated a large number terrorists invaded the town after Muslims broke their fast on Wednesday.
Locals and security sources said that 100 of women and children were abducted during the attack.
A source said, “The militants invaded a military base of 82 Division TF Battalion. They also launched an assault on the internally displaced persons, abducting about one hundred women and children.”
